Bangabandhu’s Philosophy is still well relevant in the country’s development journey. Speakers made the remark in a seminar on Bangabandhu’s Economic and Business Thought organized by FBCCI on August 7, 2022

Speaking as the chief guest, Hon’ble Commerce Minister Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP said that, Bangabandhu’s could realize the exploitation of West Pakistan soon after the Pakistan was made. The visionary leader wanted to secure economic freedom, hence his 6 points accommodated economy related issues in 3 points.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly aiming for the economic salvation of Bangladesh, the minister said.

Private Industry and Investment adviser to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Salman F Rahman, MP said, Bangabandhu’s visionary planning brought diversity to the export sector. Due to mandatory 40% export of non-traditional products in private barter facilitated the export of Shrimp and Tea. The advisor also mentioned that Bangabandhu initiated the denationalization of the industry but he was brutally killed before he implemented the decision.

Earlier, FBCCI President Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, in his welcome speech, said that based on Bangabandhu’s philosophy, Bangladesh has turned into a developing country in all aspects of development. The President hailed Bangabandhu’s different development initiatives for the expansion of trade and business.

Amongst others, FBCCI Senior Vice President Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, Vice President Mr. Md. Amin Helaly, Mr. Salahuddin Alamgir, Mr. Md. Habib Ullah Dawn, Directors and Chairman of different standing committees and other business leaders were present at the seminar.

FBCCI Secretary General Mr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque moderated the seminar.
