FBCCI President Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin as special guest attended the seminar and Highest VAT payers’ award giving ceremony on the occasion of VAT day & VAT Week organized by NBR on December 10, 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, FBCCI cheif emphasized on settimg up a sustainable revenue infrastructure to tackle the adverse impact brought by Corona Epidemic and to continue the pace of the economy.
Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin suggested the following:
– to take strategic measures to increase the amount of revenue by expanding the tax and VAT net and reducing the tax rate.
– to establish VAT office at Upazila level.
-Proof or document of tax payment along with TIN number should be made mandatory.
-to withdraw AIT & AT.
Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr. A H M Mustafa Kamal, MP, graced the event as Cheif Guest.
Chairman of NBR Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem chaired the event.
