FBCCI President mourns the death of former president of Faridpur Chamber of Commerce and Awami League leader Mahbubur Rahman Khan.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim has expressed deep grief over the death of the former president of Faridpur Chamber of Commerce, former general member of FBCCI, and Awami League leader Mahbubur Rahman Khan. He also expressed his deep sympathy for the bereaved family and wished peace upon the departed soul.
In a condolence message, FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said, “We are saddened by the death of Mahbubur Rahman Khan, the former president of Faridpur Chamber of Commerce, former general member of FBCCI and Awami League leader. We would like to extend our condolences to every member of his family. May his family find the strength to endure this grave loss.
It is noteworthy, Mahbubur Rahman Khan was 64 years old at the time of his death. He was a resident of Alipur mahalla of Faridpur district town who was involved in Awami League politics from his student life. In 2008, he was the elected treasurer of the district Awami League. In addition to politics, he was associated with various social organizations such as the Faridpur Chamber of Commerce, Faridpur Diabetic Association Hospital and had served as the district president of the Abahani Sports Club as well as the Director of National Bank.

ফরিদপুর চেম্বার অব কমার্স- এর সাবেক সভাপতি, এফবিসিসিআইয়ের সাবেক জেনারেল সদস্য ও আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা মাহাবুবুর রহমান খান -এর মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন এফবিসিসিআই -এর সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম। একই সঙ্গে তিনি শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানান এবং মরহুমের বিদেহী আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করেন।
শোক বার্তায় এফবিসিসিআই -এর সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম বলেন, ‘‘ফরিদপুর চেম্বার অব কমার্স- এর সাবেক সভাপতি ও এফবিসিসিআইয়ের সাবেক জেনারেল সদস্য এবং আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা মাহাবুবুর রহমান খান -এর মৃত্যুতে আমরা শোকাহত। তাঁর পরিবারের সকল সদস্যদের প্রতি আমাদের সমবেদনা। তার পরিবারের সকলেক ধৈর্য ধারণ করার শক্তি দান করুন।
উল্লেখ্য, মৃত্যুর সময় তার বয়স হয়েছিল ৬৪ বছর। মাহাবুবুর রহমান খান ফরিদপুর জেলা শহরের আলীপুর মহল্লার বাসিন্দা ছিলেন। তিনি ছাত্রজীবন থেকেই আওয়ামী লীগের রাজনীতির সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন। ২০০৬ সালে তিনি জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের কোষাধ্যক্ষ নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন। রাজনীতির পাশাপাশি তিনি বিভিন্ন সামাজিক সংগঠনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন। জেলা আবাহনী ক্রীড়া চক্রের জেলা সভাপতি হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। এ ছাড়া ন্যাশনাল ব্যাংকের পরিচালক, ফরিদপুর চেম্বার অব কমার্স, ফরিদপুর ডায়াবেটিক সমিতি হাসপাতালসহ বিভিন্ন সামাজিক সংগঠনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিলেন তিনি।
