India-Bangladesh Digital Conference on Agriculture Sector was jointly organized by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held on 22 December 2020. The session was aimed to set the tone for developing synergies and identifying the key enablers in agriculture sector between India and Bangladesh.
In the event, the speakers discussed about agricultural mechanization, improving the quality of yields and food products as well as optimization of agro-production cycles which could be the potential fields for cooperation between Bangladesh and India.
Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Tipu Munshi, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce & Industry and Railways, consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India graced the event with their presence.
Alongside, there is a huge scope for collaboration, mutual expansion and knowledge sharing between India and Bangladesh. It is time to work together to promote and maximize all agro products to meet the needs of the people, they said.

Vikram Doraiswami, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, High Commission of India; T V Narendran, President-Designate, CII; Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII; Sujib Ranjan dash, Director, FBCCI; and Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director & CEO, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. shared their valuable insights regarding enhancing the bilateral partnership in agriculture sector between Bangladesh and India.
Mentioning of two countries’ bilateral commitments, FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said Bangladesh looks forward to future engagements maximizing bilateral knowledge and resources towards complementary cooperation with out of the box sustainable equitable engagements.
