Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu is a visionary business leader and successful entrepreneur of Bangladesh. He is known as the business icon and role model of the business community with extensive areas of activities in various fields of business. He is playing a very important role for development of private sector of the country with his vibrant and dynamic leadership. 

He is currently the Senior Vice President of the Federation of  Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) for the term 2021-2023, the apex trade body of Bangladesh representing 35 million business personalities. 

He is representing the private sector in different Government and Semi Government organizations of the country. 

Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu is the Managing  Director of Motahar  Group of Industries. He has successfully diversified his business in the sectors like Transportation, Cold storage, Insurance, Jute, Petroleum, etc. He has currently employed over 2000 (Two thousand) people in his business group. 

He was former President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  Former President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries and Former Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI). 

Apart from this, he is actively involved in the social activities and holds the positions of different social organizations. Mr. Chowdhury is currently the General Secretary of Rangpur  Diabetic Association.  President, Rangpur  Rotary School. Former  President, RCCI Public School & College, Rangpur. He is the member of  Rangpur Golf Club and  life member,  Rangpur Rifles Club & Rangpur Red Crescent Society, etc. 

Mr. Chowdhury  attended Bangladesh business delegation as entourage of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh at different part of the world.  

Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu obtained LL.B. (Hon’s), LL.M from University of  Dhaka. He married to Nazreen Yesmin Chowdhury and is blessed with two daughters.
