The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, Pakistan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in higher education, professional training, research, and knowledge exchange.

Mr. Md. Alamgir, Secretary General of FBCCI and Mr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad, Chairman & President of the UMT and Former Caretaker Provincial Minister of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan signed the MoU on July 02, 2026 at the FBCCI Office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on behalf of their organizations.

The MoU will facilitate scholarship for leadership & entrepreneurship, executive, education and industry-oriented skill development programs for FBCCI Secretariat officials, members of affiliated chambers and associations, business leaders, and managerial professionals.

The partnership will also promote stronger industry-academia linkages through seminars, workshops, conferences, research collaboration, and the exchange of expertise and best practices in business, economics, innovation, entrepreneurship, and policy-related areas.

Mr. Muttaqi Malik, Director Internationalization of UMT and FBCCI officials were present at the signing ceremony.
