FBCCI hosts Seminar on Supportive Ecosystem for Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals

March 9, 2024; Dhaka: FBCCI, the apex trade organization of the country, hosts a seminar on 'Supportive Ecosystem for Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals' on March 09, 2024 at the FBCCI Icon in Motijheel, Dhaka on the occasion of the International Women's Day 2024. 

Ms. Simeen Hussain (Rimi) MP, Hon'ble State Minister, the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, graced the seminar as the Chief Guest.

While speaking as the Chief Guest, the State Minister for the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs said that the government has taken several initiatives to provide specialized training for skill development of women. 

Ms. Simeen Hussain (Rimi) MP said that the development of a country is not possible by leaving the women behind. The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has emphasized on the development of technical and technical skills of women as per the directives of the government. In that continuity, plans have been taken to develop women's skills and capabilities in non-traditional sectors, she said.

Earlier in his welcome speech, FBCCI President Mr. Mahbubul Alam said that the encouragement and support of family is very important to make a woman an entrepreneur. Men please support your daughter, wife or sister to become an entrepreneur. Because sustainable development is not possible without women.

Women's empowerment is no longer just a dream, it has become a reality. Honorable Prime Minister H.E. Sheikh Hasina has given special importance to the empowerment of women, he added. 

FBCCI president also urged women entrepreneurs to come forward to build a smart and developed Bangladesh.

Ms. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary, the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, in her speech as the special guest, said that the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs is working on modernizing the training structure for women to develop their technical, and specialized skills.

The senior vice president of FBCCI, Mr. Md. Amin Helaly said that FBCCI will continue its overall cooperation in the development and skill enhancement of women entrepreneurs across the country. 

Emphasizing the creation of new women entrepreneurs in the implementation of participatory economy, former first vice-president of FBCCI Ms. Monowara Hakim Ali said that tax incentives can be provided for women to encourage entrepreneurship.

FBCCI Vice President Shomi Kaiser drew the attention of the government to create a rich database on women entrepreneurs and working women of the country.

Among others, FBCCI Directors, business leaders, women entrepreneurs, Leaders from District and Metropolitan Women Chambers, government officials, and other dignitaries were present at the seminar
