The policy and implementation wing should be separated in NBR for smooth revenue collection, the President added. He also emphasized on expanding LTU as the Unit generates 85% of the total revenue and easing the tax payment system to bring more taxpayers in the net.

Mentioning the ongoing Russia- Ukraine War, Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin said the war puts the whole world into trouble. The global circumstances leave Bangladesh with more challenges. In such a situation, setting priorities is a big challenge for upcoming Budget, the president noted. However, the president seeks for investment friendly policies with adequate mechanism for curbing inflation in the Budget for the FY 2022-23.
The Senior Vice President of the FBCCI Mr. Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu urged the government to keep the power price unchanged at least for one year.
Mr. Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Hon’ble Minister Agriculture, Mr. M A Mannan, Hon’ble Minister for Planning, Dr. Abdul Moyeen, Member of the BNP’s standing Committee, and the distinguished fellow of CPD Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya also graced the event.
