Dr Mohammad Abdur Razzaque is an economist specialising in applied international trade and development issues. He is currently Research Director at Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh and serves as Chairman of the board of Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID). Previously, he served the Commonwealth at its headquarters in London in various capacities including Head of International Trade Policy, and taught at Dhaka University economics department. He has led and managed numerous international and Bangladesh-specific policy research and capacity-building projects. On several occasions, he has made technical presentations before the G20 Development Working Group. He has also been called to provide evidence before House of Lords and House of Commons Committees of the UK Parliament. He is widely consulted by national, regional, and international organizations on trade and development issues and he has worked closely with various stakeholder groups including senior policymakers, business leaders and associations, and journalists.
